Meet the printmaker: Alina Tang (Engels)

Meet de printmaker is een online event waarbij je een uur lang alles te weten komt van jouw favoriete printmaker!

Het is eigenlijk een soort van online meet & greet. De printmaker verteld zijn/haar verhaal, waarna ik (Kirsten Peerdeman-Luijendijk, founder & owner van Atelier Indrukwekkend) samen met de printmaker meer de diepte in ga. En last but not least is het tijd voor jullie vragen! 

Voor deze editie hebben we niemand minder dan Alina Tang uitgenodigd. 

Alina komt uit Australië, heeft de hele wereld afgereisd voor kunst en printmaking exposities en residencies. Haar moedertaal en haar netwerk zijn Engels vandaar dat deze Meet the printmaker ook in het Engels is. 

Oh, en had ik al verteld dat ze een super actieve en toffe #girlboss is? Ze is founder and owner van een schattig atelier/winkel/workshop plek in Amsterdam: Pansy

Alina Tang works across printmaking, floriography, and design. Her work embodies both independent and socially-engaged collaborative approaches between varying disciplines including drawing, painting, and wall-works. Her practice is excited by an ongoing curiosity and engagement with floral performance that is immersive, multi-sensory, and empathetic. Often bright, colourful, and full of joy, her delicate and detailed works embrace notions of abundance, beauty, gift-giving, and rituals of floral cultures.

She studied Fine Art and Design at Curtin University from 2011 - 2013 and managed creative business & printmaking studio Beau Est Mien Prints and Designs in Northbridge from 2011 - 2018. 

She is currently based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. And is founder and owner of a super cute studio/shop/workshop space: Pansy (www.pansy-shop.com)

She also collaborates with best friend Johanna Acs on several projects including Bead Friends Forever.

• 20 minuten presentatie door de printmaker
• 20 minuten in depth gesprek met printmaker & host (wanneer je specifieke vragen beantwoord wilt hebben en zeker wilt zijn van een antwoord stuur jouw vraag dan naar info@atelierindrukwekkend.com met als onderwerp "meet the printmaker". Dan ga ik mijn best doen jouw vraag tijdens dit gesprek beantwoord te krijgen.)
• 20 minuten vragen van de deelnemers. (afhankelijk van de groepsgrote van dit online Zoom evenement, kun je jouw vragen persoonlijk in beeld stellen of via de chat)
• Meet the Printmaker vindt online plaats via Zoom. De details (code voor deelname) van dit event ontvang je 1 dag van te voren in je mailbox.

Meet the printmaker is an online event where you get to know everything about your favorite printmaker!

It's sort of an online meet & greet. The printmaker tells his / her story, after which I (Kirsten Peerdeman-Luijendijk, founder & owner of Atelier Indrukwekkend) go in depth with the printmaker. And last but not least, it is time for your questions!

For this edition we have invited the amazingly cute and colourful: Alina Tang.

Alina is from Australia, has traveled all over the world for art and printmaking exhibitions and residencies. Her native language and network are English, which is why this Meet the printmaker is also in English.

• 20 minutes in depth conversation with printmaker & host (if you want to have specific questions answered or topics to be discussed, send your question to info@atelierindrukwekkend.com with the subject "meet the printmaker". I will do my best for you to get your question anwserend during this conversation.)
• 20 minutes of questions from the participants. (depending on the group size of this online Zoom event, you can ask your questions personally or via chat)
• Meet the Printmaker takes place via Zoom. You will receive the details (code for participation) 1 day in advance via email.
