Join Brooklyn, NYC based artist and printmaker Holly Brown for a collagraph printing workshop.
In this class you will learn the technique Holly uses in her own artwork by carving the “davey” board and collaging recycled material. You will explore both reductive and additive plate making through an abstract design.
Once your image is complete Holly will show you how to print using Speedball washable fabric and block relief inks.
We will print on paper and recycled denim. Feel free to bring other fabrics and garments like jeans or tees to experiment with in this fun and environmentally friendly workshop!
Beginners and Advanced welcome!
If you have a particular image in mind please bring it in black and white size 10cm x 10cm
Workshop cost: €75,-
All materials are provided as well as high tea and lunch.
And a very (very) full goodie bag with supplies from Speedball to get started once you’re at home!
