Over het evenement
Jonathan Lawes is coming back to Delft to teach us Dutchies how to mono-screenprint!
As a designer his work is presented in a very graphic way, with his love of geometric shape & pattern evident alongside his underlying attention to colour and detail. Simple forms, bold colour combinations, layout & composition, and subtle textures all play their own part.
During the workshop we'll be producing a series of ± 10 unique screen printed monoprints.
Working wit ha blank screen and cut-out newsprint for stenciling, we'll experiment with a variety of colors, layering them up to create a sense of depth.
With this technique the 'screen printing' experience is a lot quicker and more spontaneous. Designed to free yourself up and force you to work on the spot.
This is an experimental workshop with no right or wrong outcome and can be done by all levels of experience. You can either work with clean-cut lines & shapes or play with organic & textural qualities not normal associated with the screen printing process.
This workshop costs € 95,- per participant and includes all materials a lunch & sweet high tea from The Living.
Afterwards you'll go home with your own prints on paper, a well-filled goody-bag and a lot of inspiration.
